SDI has a gender and social inclusion policy that guides the organisation on issues of gender equality. The institution has mainstreamed gender in its governance documents, staff, programmes and processes. There is a gender focal point in the organisation. Gender based violence and a sexual harassment are very serious offences in the institution which attract immediate dismissal of the offender/s. There is a deliberate policy to empower women and girls through recruitment and training our target is to achieve 50/50 representation of women in all positions in the company.
